Once you have completed your AP Exams in May, the immediate next step is to wait for your scores to be released in July. But the process doesn't end there. Here’s a guide to what you should do after taking your exams:
1. Check Your Scores: In early July, you'll receive an email from the College Board letting you know your scores are available. Log in to your College Board account to view them.
2. Send Your Scores: Once you have decided on the college you will be attending, you need to send your official AP score report to that institution. You can do this through your College Board account for a fee. Remember, you get one free score sent per exam, which you may have already used during registration.
3. Talk to an Academic Advisor: After you arrive at college, schedule a meeting with your academic advisor. Bring a copy of your AP scores. Your advisor will help you understand how your credits apply to your specific major and graduation requirements. They will help you register for the correct classes and ensure you get the full benefit of the hard work you put into your AP courses.
